Dr. Clementine Msengi is an award-winning educator and mentor who survived the  Genocide Against the Tutsi in Rwanda and speaks nationally covering select topics. She speaks in university settings on student leadership, creating academic success, and building academic and personal resilience. Dr. Msengi also speaks in other settings with topics touching on growing through adversity,  building faith in crisis, leadership, mentoring, resilience, community and family health, and refugee and immigrant immigration integration.

 

Dr. Clem has earned multiple national awards for leadership and community service.  She was a New Voices Fellow, awarded through the Academy for Educational Leadership through the Ford Foundation.  She is also a Global Alumni of the Echoing Green Foundation and a recipient of the Outstanding American by Choice Award  from the US Department of Homeland Security.

Dr. Msengi speaks at international conferences and seminars, as well as retreats, women’s events, community and faith-based outreaches.. Dr. Msengi is an Assistant professor at Lamar University in Texas.
